Alexis & Mason

Silly Uncle Joey, that turtle is a little small for you...
Robyn & Gunnar

Alexis's second time trying out the pool and she loved it.
When she first went in she cried and the
mean mom that I am kept her in.
Next thing you know she didn't want to get out of the pool.
What a fun time we all had at Joey & Jaime's! Thanks for inviting us over!

Alexis's 1st Birthday! Theme: Little Mermaid- Pool Party

Alexis in her tutu before putting on her swimsuit. By the way
she wasn't a fan of the pool (it just wasn't as warm as her bath water).

Time to dig in! Once Alexis saw the cake she couldn't wait for dad to
find a lighter or for everyone to sing "Happy Birthday".

Mmmmm...this sure is yummy!

The awesome Little Mermaid Pinata!
What to do with all this candy?

Enjoying suckers with all the boys.

Exhausted from all day out with Mom & Dad

As I do every night before going to bed, I check on Alexis about 5 times and this is what I found soon after she fell asleep tonight... We must have really wore her out today. Sweet Dreams.

Trip to Payson to see Granny and Papa Barrett in new car seat!

Alexis with her great Papa and Granny Barrett- they had so much fun seeing her. And we also enjoyed our time with them.

Alexis with her great Granny Barrett

First of all what a FABULOUS day to be in Payson. We enjoyed lunch outside at a local restaraunt and went to an antique shop then back to Papa and Granny's to hang out.

Joel and I have been talking about getting a new car seat for Alexis since it is getting warmer now and so hard for her to get air when she is faced the other direction. When we went to her 9 month appointment, which was really at 10 months she weighed 20 lbs so that's what started the conversation. She is now 1 month and 1 week away from 1 year old and weighs 20 lbs so we figured it would be ok to turn her around.

Friday night we decided to go buy a car seat after I had been doing the research and really liked her Britax infant car seat we decided to stay with the same brand. Then the debate was between a girly one or a neutral one, which I left this one up to dad. He picked the neutral one, which is probably better because we can wipe it clean versus the all suede girly one (but it was so cute).

We got to try it out today on our trip to Payson. As you can see Alexis was pretty relaxed in her new car seat. And even better Joel and I can sit in front together now instead of one of us always sitting in the back with her.

Will somebody get me out of here?

Looks like Little Miss Alexis is up to something.....

It's been a fun filled day of teething. Happy one minute then crying and unhappy the next. Alexis' two front teeth on top are coming in and she will then have 4 teeth. I really can't complain I think this is the fussiest she has been during teething and it was only a few hours off and on. They deserve to fuss as we all know toothaches are no fun.

Now on to Alexis's hair. I'm happy she has hair and it's growing, but it is in such a yucky stage right now. One side always sticks straight out and I am lucky if I can get a cute little headband to stay on without her pulling it off, which takes lots of distraction to get it on in the first place. I'm on the hunt for some cute clips to possibly hold down the crazy side or maybe some larger headbands.
